Position: Certified Nurse Aide
Location: Honolulu, HI (Onsite)
Pay: $24/hour
Experience: At least 6 months of CNA work experience preferred; geriatric or rehab care experience is a plus.
Education: High school diploma or GED required. Current, active CNA license in the State of Hawaii.
Type: Full-time or Part-time; Contract
Schedule:
- Day Shift: 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Evening Shift: 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- Night Shift (NOC): Starts at 8:00 PM
Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide high-quality, compassionate care to residents in both private apartments and long-term care settings. This role is essential in supporting residents with daily needs and ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety.
Job Description:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Deliver respectful, compassionate care in alignment with residents' Service Plans.
- Accurately measure and record vital signs; promptly report changes in condition.
- Maintain confidentiality while ensuring detailed and accurate documentation.
- Respond promptly to call lights, resident requests, and emergency alerts.
- Provide emotional support, companionship, and light housekeeping to enhance resident well-being.
- Monitor and report incidents, safety concerns, or unusual behaviors to nursing staff or supervisors.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
Position Requirements:
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
- Dependable, compassionate, and professional team player.
- Self-motivated and attentive to both resident care and overall safety.
